The Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the "Mountains of the Moon," rise majestically in western Uganda, stretching over 120 kilometers and reaching heights of more than 5,100 meters. The smallholder farmers who contribute to this coffee grow their crops along the mountain’s fertile slopes, harnessing its rich soil and unique climate to cultivate high-quality coffee.

Farmers handpick ripe, red cherry and deliver it to the Kyarumba collection centre. Upon arrival at the Central Processing Mill in Nyabirongo, the cherries are weighed, floated and poured into sealed tanks. The cherry is fermented for 72 hours. Fermented cherry is then taken to the raised African beds, spread out evenly with a thin layer. Dry pods are then hulled and graded, ready for export.
